SketchUp Conversion Promotion – Terms and Conditions

Applies to Single user and Network perpetual licenses converted to 1-year and 2-year SketchUp Pro termed subscriptions (“Initial term”)

What is the SketchUp Conversion Promotion for perpetual (Classic) licenses?

SketchUp Pro customers with an active Maintenance and Support Plan

For eligible SketchUp Pro perpetual licenses, instead of purchasing Maintenance and Support, a customer may purchase a number of SketchUp Pro subscription seats with a 60% discount on Trimble’s suggested retail price for the initial term. A customer may purchase up to a maximum of 50 discounted subscription seats as part of this promotion.

SketchUp Pro customers with an expired Maintenance and Support Plan

For eligible SketchUp Pro perpetual licenses, a customer may purchase a number of SketchUp Pro subscription seats with a discount on Trimble’s suggested retail price for the initial term. Customers will receive a 60% discount on Trimble’s suggested retail price through 23:59 (UTC) April 2, 2021; from 00:00 (UTC) April 3, 2020 through 12:00 (UTC) December 5, 2021 customers will receive a 40% discount on Trimble’s suggested retail price.  A customer may purchase up to a maximum of 50 discounted subscription seats as part of this promotion.

Which SketchUp Pro licenses are eligible?

A license must meet all the following requirements to be eligible:

SketchUp Pro customers with an active Maintenance and Support plan

  1. Perpetual Single user license or perpetual Network license of SketchUp Pro
  2. Your Maintenance & Support contract is active or expired within the last 30 days
  3. Has not previously been used in any subscription promotion
  4. Is the most recent serial number (if previously upgraded/auto-upgraded)
  5. Is a registered commercial version of SketchUp Pro 2013 or higher
  6. Is being used by a customer in South Africa only (Customers in other regions are not eligible)

SketchUp Pro customers with an expired Maintenance and Support plan

  1. Perpetual Single user license or perpetual Network license of SketchUp Pro
  2. Has not previously been used in any subscription promotion
  3. Is the most recent serial number (if previously upgraded/auto-upgraded)
  4. Is a registered commercial version of SketchUp Pro 2013 or higher
  5. Is being used by a customer in South Africa only (Customers in other regions are not eligible)

No other license types qualify for the promotion. Each perpetual license may only be converted once.

What is the maximum discount available for those participating in the SketchUp Conversion Promotion?

Single user license

For each eligible SketchUp Pro perpetual single user license, a customer may purchase 1 SketchUp Pro subscription with up to 60% discount on Trimble’s suggested retail price for the initial term. A customer may purchase up to a maximum of 50 discounted subscription seats as part of this promotion.

Network license

For each eligible SketchUp Pro perpetual Network license seat, a customer may purchase up to 4 SketchUp Pro subscriptions with up to 60% discount on Trimble’s suggested retail price for the initial term. A customer may purchase up to a maximum of 50 discounted subscription seats as part of this promotion.

What is the duration of the promotion?

The promotion runs from 00:00 (UTC) September 25, 2020 through to 12:00 (UTC) December 5, 2021.

Can a SketchUp Pro perpetual license be converted to a different Trimble product under this promotion?

No, the promotion is valid only subscriptions of SketchUp Pro for the initial term. It is not valid for use on other products or for alternative licensing options.

Will the promotional pricing apply to subscription renewals?

No, the promotional pricing is applicable only to the initial term of a new subscription and is not available for any subscription renewals.

What happens to the remaining term of Maintenance and Support?

The Maintenance and Support contract of the perpetual license is terminated as of the date of conversion and cannot be reinstated at a later date.

What happens to a perpetual license after conversion?

Single user license

That particular license may still be used and may be installed on new devices if there are remaining activations but is not eligible for updates or upgrades to a newer version.

Network license

That particular license is deactivated 30 days after conversion and is not eligible for updates or upgrades to a newer version.

What is the license conversion process?

  1. Customer submits their license (s) and other applicable information to the authorized reseller in its region (customer name, serial number/s, and registered email address)
  2. Reseller confirms eligibility with the customer
  3. Customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions in full
  4. Customer purchases discounted subscription(s) through the reseller
  5. Perpetual license is registered on Trimble systems as ‘converted’

Can customers receive a refund after converting?

Customers are entitled to a refund for up to 14 days after converting. Upon execution of a refund:

  • New subscriptions will be terminated; and
  • The perpetual license will be reverted to its original state prior to the initial conversion

Miscellaneous Terms and Conditions

  • The promotion is subject to Trimble resellers’ participation. Trimble resellers are unaffiliated and set their own prices. Advertised savings are based on the Trimble suggested retail price (excluding taxes and/or any other applicable fees) for a single SketchUp Pro subscription and is used for reference purposes only. Actual pricing may vary by region and is subject to exchange rate fluctuation.
  • This promotion may be combined with Trimble’s ‘SketchUp Expansion promotion’ only. It may not be combined with any additional offer.
  • Trimble reserves the right to modify or cancel, part of or the complete promotional offer without notice, at its sole discretion for any reason.
